Talking Interoperability #15

Talking interoperability is a dialogue series being convened by the Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI) to facilitate in-depth technical conversations around designing for interoperability in the social protection sector. By bringing together digital social protection and technology experts from government agencies, software vendors, system integrators and international organizations, it aims promote peer-based learning and problem solving through:

  • sharing the technical nitty-gritty of how agencies have designed their social protection information systems for interoperability.
  • understanding how agencies have tackled the major challenges to interoperability.
  • brainstorming potential solutions to remaining bottlenecks

One of the key objectives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan is to streamline and digitalize social service processes through innovative solutions. Over 90% of social services in the country have already been digitalized, with several new digital projects now underway. The presentation will cover the electronic services and digital initiatives in the social sphere and the interoperability architecture of the different systems, including the “Centralized Electronic Information System,” the “Proactive Services Mechanism,” the “Labor and Employment Subsystem,” and the “Unified Social Register.”
