Overview:
The integration of social protection with active labour market programmes, particularly public employment services, is a key strategy to enhance formal employment prospects and reduce poverty. This session examined the linkages between social protection and public employment services, highlighting how interoperability can strengthen coordination and streamline service delivery. Drawing on experiences and insights from South Korea, the discussion illustrated how stronger alignment between these systems can improve public services and lead to better outcomes for individuals, enterprises and public administration.
