The AI Hub for Social Protection – supporting responsible AI in social protection

Register

This session will take place on December 2, 2025 .

Overview:

This webinar will be the official launching event of the AI Hub for Social Protection, an initiative created in June 2025 under the Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI). The goal is to make the initiative known, set expectations for governments about the advisory services, and spark conversations around responsible AI innovation in the sector. By bringing together policymakers, digital social protection and technology experts from government agencies, civil society, and international organizations, the webinar explores what responsible, innovative, and sovereign AI adoption in social protection means, shares insights from first knowledge products, and reports from AI in-country implementations. An expert panel builds on these inputs for further exploring how to navigate benefits and risks of AI, ending with practical policy and implementation recommendations.

What to expect:

  • AI Hub initiative presentation, its mission, and how it works
  • Insights from ongoing research activities (AI taxonomy for SP, risk-based framework)
  • Learnings from AI in-country implementation and use cases
  • Discussion on responsible AI adoption in social protection and the role of the AI Hub for SP
