CRVS standards compliant with European Interoperability Framework
The Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI) is pleased to announce that its Civil Registry and Vital Statistics (CRVS) interoperability standards have been officially assessed as compliant with the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) principles.
This important achievement was confirmed through an assessment conducted using the European Commission’s Common Assessment Method for Standards and Specifications (CAMSS) framework, which evaluates standards against internationally recognized interoperability principles.
A milestone for digital public infrastructure
The assessment validates that DCI’s CRVS interoperability standards meet high international benchmarks for:
-
Neutrality, by avoiding vendor lock-in through unbiased and open technical specifications;
-
Transparency, through reusable, open, and trusted data models;
-
Efficiency, by enabling seamless data exchange via APIs that support improved service delivery.
More than a technical achievement, this recognition reinforces DCI’s commitment to strengthening inclusive, efficient, and interoperable digital public infrastructure for social protection systems worldwide.
