Digital transformation and interoperability training in social protection concludes in Angola

The training on Digital Transformation and Interoperability in Social Protection conducted by Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI) concluded on Friday, 19 June 2026. It was organised by the International Labour Organization in partnership with The World Bank and FAS – Instituto de Desenvolvimento Local.
Over five days, the initiative brought together representatives from various Angolan institutions, the World Bank, as well as participants from Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.
The training proved to be a space for learning, exchange of experiences, and reflection on the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in the social protection sector.
The training is one part of DCI’s global efforts to support countries in advancing universal social protection through digital transformation and interoperability. Through presentations, case studies, and interactive sessions, participants strengthened their understanding of citizen-centred approaches and committed to advancing the modernisation of social protection systems.

El curso de formación sobre Transformación Digital e Interoperabilidad en la Protección Social, organizado por la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT), en colaboración con el Banco Mundial y el FAS – Instituto para el Desarrollo Local, concluyó este viernes 19 de junio de 2026.
Durante cinco días, la iniciativa reunió a representantes de diversas instituciones angoleñas, del Banco Mundial, así como a participantes de Mozambique y Santo Tomé y Príncipe.
El curso de formación demostró ser un espacio para aprender, intercambiar experiencias y reflexionar sobre los retos y las oportunidades de la transformación digital en el sector de la protección social.
Mediante la consolidación de un enfoque centrado en el ciudadano a través de presentaciones, estudios de caso y sesiones interactivas, los participantes se comprometen a modernizar los sistemas de protección social.
