Digital architecture and technology for social protection
“Digital architecture and technology for social protection” is the third module of the learning series “Digital transformation and interoperability in social protection”. The course was developed by International Labour Organization (ILO), socialprotection.org, and Dataprev under the Digital Convergence Initiative. It explores the technical foundations of digital transformation, including cloud solutions, open-source approaches, digital public infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
The course also examines how to bridge policy vision and implementation through citizen-centric models, functional design, and digital solution modelling. Participants will gain an understanding of digital architectures, system requirements, interoperability, and integration approaches, alongside core principles of data governance, privacy, security, and ethical data management. The module concludes with strategic technology planning, including costing, financing, and sustaining digital transformation initiatives over time.
