This session will be held in English. Simultaneous interpretation into Spanish, French, and Portuguese will be available.

Overview

Government digital services are frequently fragmented across isolated systems and duplicative processes. These “data silos” increase operational costs, slow service delivery, and create friction for citizens who must repeatedly share the same information with multiple agencies. Achieving seamless, citizen-centric service delivery requires systems that can interoperate according to common standards.

This webinar focuses on how interoperability standards help break administrative silos, prevent fraud, and ensure seamless access to essential services from birth registration to social benefit enrollment in the social protection sector. Through concrete use cases such as linking civil registration with social protection programs, enabling real-time eligibility checks, and supporting cross-platform data exchange, the webinar will demonstrate how standardization improves efficiency and strengthens service delivery.

The workshop will feature live end-to-end demonstrations using MOSIP, OpenG2P, openIMIS, OpenSPP, and OpenCRVS, showcasing how OIDC-based authentication via eSignet, and DCI interoperability standards collectively enable secure, real-time program enrollment and while privacy-preserving digital records.

Key objectives

  • Demonstrate how DCI standards defined for various interoperability interfaces support interoperability between various social protection systems and other foundational governmental systems, such as ID systems and CRVS
  • Share technical best practices for DCI standards adoption, data sharing, and secure interoperability.
  • Help policymakers, implementers and technical leads understand the steps, roles and resources required to replicate the model.
